Tom & Ron have some "new" cars for your consideration !
Call Ron (751-4002) or Tom (410-703-7806) if you think any of the following cars
might help you to go racing with us:
This original 1938 Chevy Modified raced at Ellsworth (WGVRA member Billy Boyle drove this at one time) & other area tracks - not much body here, but on the other hand neither was there much body back when she was racin' - (there is one more body panel for the rear not shown) - this car is still available

1939 Buick - This car has been claimed and is already in the works.
A Hudson Hornet Twin H 308 will be powering this new WGVRA "Early Modified".

This '37/38 Chevy is a well experienced Exeter race car . It still retains its "not-so-bad" original cage
that stood up well to a nasty roll - the cage merely requires some basic upgrading to meet today's standard.
This car has been "claimed" and will be restored as an original "Early Stock" class racer with WGVRA.

This original '42 Mercury Exeter Race car has withstood mother nature quite well and is really quite solid.
The car needs running gear & a cage - car is currently available
This is another #227 Exeter race car - a '41 Ford in this case - this body has been shortened twice but the removed body panels are STILL with car - we also know where there is a '41 Ford coupe body with no cowl that could be grafted on at the "A" (windshield) pillar and you would have yourself a sharp looking race car. This is another solid frame needing running gear and cage - this car is still available.

#226 is another experienced racer found living quietly with its Exeter racing companions shown above - this Chevy has some well earned scars but is all there except for the trunk lid - the original frame found supporting this body was obviously unsafe way back when she was originally racing 50 years ago, so we trashed it. She'll start to look a lot better when she's mounted on an old Chevy pickup chassis, and even better when she's back on the track. This old girl is also still available.

We'd like to introduce you to our 1936 LaFayette coupe - How many of these do you see? The left side is pretty much rusted to oblivion from laying too long on its side, but doing so saved the frame and the 3/4 of the car seen by the fans - we know the left side can be redone because we did it with our #36 Chevy !!! (and we have curved body sheet metal to help you with that).
The rest of the car is solid and absolutely CUTE! Frame looks good, too ! The car will need front end, engine, and cage. If you don't do something with this lady, we WILL when we catch up on the other cars already in the works. She will be SWEET!
No photos up yet, but we also have available-
a 1940 Ford coupe - body only - rusty enough for the spot welds to have given way;
but mostly there (trunk lid missing) - some MIG work would put her back together
again, and nothing looks better than a '40 coupe (except perhaps a '36 Lafayette)
STEVE PELLERIN
Steve has available a pretty much complete 1/2 ton Chevy chassis with a running 250 in-line. This is FREE to anyone wishing to build a vintage race car ! Deal of the century for someone wishing to build a Chevy ! (Hmmm, wonder why anyone would want to do THAT?) But YES, we DO allow Chevy's to run with the real race cars in our club. Oops, forget that - forgot that we already have one in OUR own stable......If you don't know Steve, drop us an e-mail.
Flathead Ford Stuff
BILL CHEPREN - 207- 997-2972
I have made a decision to build a car for the early late model class of racing, instead of early modifieds. The early 60s were my favorite year cars that I used to race on the street and strip. It would be more exciting for me building one of those cars for the dirt tracks. All my stuff relating to early stocks or modified is up for sale or trade for a built stock car or a car to build for this class of racing. I will be looking for the 1963 and 64 Ford 500 customs 2 door sedans. The cash price of my early ford stuff is what I have into it, which would be a $1000. I have 2 flatheads 1- 8ba , 1- 59 , 1- 3 speed 48 trans, bell housings, clutch & pressure plate, starters, gens, fans, exhaust manifolds, 1938 pick up with fenders, hood, running boards, frame with front end and rear end., etc., etc., - package deal only. 8ba flathead has been tanked and machine shop inspected for rebuild. A .060 over has been recommended, crank must be turned down, rods are fine. Rinaldi machine made the inspection.
Exeter Car - Salvaged 2005 - donated 2007 Exeter Car - Salvaged 2005 - began racin 2007
Salvaged by Jim Levensalor - original driver ! - 2006 '33/'34 Hudson Terraplane - Exeter Car! - SOLD
If you have any information, or hear a rumor, or know someone who knows someone,
that may in any way help to locate one of these cars,
please notify "Wicked Good" Racing, and we'll put you and the searcher in contact.
Nov. 30, 2005
Perhaps a bit different than what members might expect to appear here; but we know what it is like hunting for a special car, and we were asked to help. Thought that we'd contribute if we could, to help a fellow racer find his treasure.
Ken Spencer
Ken is searching for his 1956 Ford Victoria (#24) that was sold
at Speedway 95 many years ago. The name of the purchaser has been lost.
Red Giroux
Red is hoping to locate his 1933 Plymouth coupe (#32)
that was sold in the early 60's. The last known sighting,
was in a field to the rear of Al Walker's home (property now under new ownership) on Union St. in Hermon, just across the street from Dana Graves current home. Several race cars may have been removed from that site only three or four years ago.
Forrest Davis
Forrest is hunting for his Dad's 1935 Chevy coupe, last seen in a small junkyard in Corinth, sitting with a couple of other vintage race cars.
Clark Brothers
We are hoping to locate this Harold Wilcox driven
'38 Dodge coupe.
This vehicle may have left in the company of
Red Giroux's #32 Plymouth coupe (see above)
This Alvin Thayer driven, Al Walker owned Ford,
later modified with a "chopped top",
may have been keeping company with the two race cars
described above (#66 & #32).
There is a chance that other #106's existed there as well,
along with several even earlier race cars.

Ron's second race car - 1941 Ford
'Disappeared' from the Fuller Road - Hermon, in 1963

Colin Shields/Bill Hartley owned 1947 Ford
